Rising Warner Bros. Records star CHARICE rolls out self-titled international debut album on May 11th  

There have been a lot of other Filipino artists that have tried their luck overseas to hit it big in the music scene, but none of them really made it to the top! Finally, after years of trying to make and break the US territory, we have the one and only Charice to make every Filipino proud! She is the first ever homegrown artist who also holds residence in the Philippines to ever take the US by storm.  Ask why? The red hot new singing sensation Charice who celebrates her 18th birthday on May 10^th is giving fans a reason to celebrate also with the release of her highly anticipated self titled debut album scheduled for release the very next day.  Also, on the May 11th release day, Charice will perform on The Oprah Winfrey Show (her 4^th visit to the Oprah stage) during the day, and is scheduled to perform on QVC later that evening.

 Charice, along with 15 time Grammy award winning songwriter and producer David Foster will perform on QVC at 8pm (EST).  During the QVC Presents QSessions Live, Charice will unveil songs from her debut album and give fans an exclusive inside look at the inspiration behind her music and career.  This is the first time in QVC history that a new artist will be featured on the day of their debut release. 

 Charice’s first single, the anthemic love song “Pyramid” featuring Iyaz, is currently the No.1 song on 99.5 RT for 5 consecutive weeks and was No.1 on RX 93.1 for 3 consecutive weeks. The video is now currently No.1 on Channel V’s Bente Uno Chart and is aiming for the top on MYX as it’s on the no. 3 spot this week! And on the state side news “Pyramid” has already jumped to No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Charts and her single is currently being played on over 100 radio stations across the U.S.

 Charice who has already racked up more than 13 million views on YouTube began her singing career at age four when her mother discovered her singing on a table and  went on to perform in several singing contests in Southeast Asia.   She first appeared in the US on The Ellen de Generes Show on and then came to the attention of “Hit Man” David Foster who signed her to his 143/Reprise Records.  On 2009, Charice revisited the Oprah Show to perform the Diane Warren written and David Foster produced “Note to God”.  In the weeks that followed, the Foster-produced track sold 110,000 total downloads. 

 At such a young age, Charice is definitely enjoying her stardom at its peak, who knew that there was a bigger and better career that’s bound to happen before her?
